okay so, long story short i have an issue where drugs do not affect me. yes, this is a real thing people have and you can find it on google, just to avoid "try XYZ! i don't believe that!". prescription drugs like prozac, mirtazpine, buspirone, lamotringe, or other stuff i've been prescribed do not affect me. i quit prozac (an SSRI) cold turkey after a year when i was 13, obviously you're not supposed to do that... and it did nothing, felt no different. tried a high dose of adderall once too and my friends were shocked when i felt nothing. recreational drugs too, LSD and even weed and (if this counts) DXM only affect me in very very very high doses. finally OTC like ibuprofen or melatonin do not effect me either regardless of how much i take, and the saddest thing is caffeine does nothing.

so this brings me to my question, i was looking into the forum about SN and it really sounds like a good method for me since my first two methods are both not likely to work. i did see though that you need some things like an antiemetic, or a beta blocker. painkillers i'm not worried about because i have IBS and lactose intolerance so i'm pretty used to nausea and headaches pretty much daily. i don't throw up easily either, DXM is supposed to make you puke every time before the trip starts but i've only thrown up once and it was a high dose. beta blocker is what i'm most worried about, the odds that it effects me let alone actually works are slim. will this effect my chances of me dying? or, even worse, will SN not work for dying or is that processed differently?

Whether a beta blocker works for you or not will not affect the process of SN.

The reason why a beta blocker is recommended is due to your heart starting to beat extremely fast, which can cause feelings of anxiety and might trigger SI. Personally, I am not trying to get my hands on one. I've opted for weed instead to calm me down.

You said weed only affects you in high doses, do you think you'd be able to get your hands on a large quantity before your attempt just in case you're feeling particularly anxious?

yes, i'm a regular stoner, it doesn't exactly get me stoned anymore with the combination of my body not liking drugs + a high tolerance from smoking a bunch, but i already planned on getting high before i CTB regardless (as long as it didn't interfere with the method i use). weed makes me feel like myself and i'd rather go out as myself than anyone else! plus weed makes me tired so it'll put me to sleep before the SN does so i probably won't even feel the pain

You would indeed be taking a big OD of SN should you decide to go that route.

I don't think the psych meds not working means much of anything. They don't work for everyone. But there are some meds like benzodiazepines that universally work. So by that same principle you just can't not suffer the toxic effects of SN poisoning. Besides unless my understanding is wrong the toxic effects occur in the blood and bypass metabolizing in the liver which can be responsible for differing individual responses to drugs.

If you take too much then you risk vomiting. Likely best to take what is recommended based on your weight, there's a chart around somewhere. No idea if drug resistance would effect SN efficacy. I have a problem with MDMA, never worked for me, I understand to some degree what you mean.

Benzo and beta blocker aren't necessary. I'm considering just taking AE and SN to keep it simple, plus I don't want to be bothered hunting down the other drugs. The issue with not taking those drugs is your SI kicking in, freaking out and calling emergency services or reaching out for help some other way. The advantage in my opinion is that it is less likely to interact adversely with whatever you add.

Here's the chart…
