  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

No one can know for sure but it's certainly a possibility. I haven't read here about charges being filed against Americans but US customs seems to be seizing some of the orders. From the UK I've seen reports of users being jailed.

To be honest, it seems unlikely you'd be prosecuted for it unless you live in some crazy tough-on-drugs part of the country. People order all sorts of crazy recreational drugs from the dark web that end up getting seized by customs all the time. Over on those forums, most of the people end up with a letter from customs saying it was seized and telling them not to do it again. You could always just claim you didn't order the package and it was some kind of scam or something.

Highly unlikely. Worst case you'd get sent to a psych ward.

If it just gets seized though you'll get a "love letter" saying so and more than likely they won't go further then that.

Never heard it called a "love letter" before but that cracks me up.

it's always a possibility, of course. not necessarily a likely outcome, but a potential one nonetheless.
