Hi guys.

I`m planning on doing this today, I've been suffering long enough. I have the charcoal and a pan to barbecue pan to put them on but I don`t have a chimney starter to get things going.

What are the odds of this working out without a chimney starter, using a standard liquid alcohol lighter to lit them up ? Will it take too long for the charcoals to go white and what about the surrounding ones, will they keep smoking out ?

Please help.

It should work, assuming you have enough charcoal.
It will take a few minutes more for the charcoal to become ready though.

Make sure you seal all doors correctly and put up a warning sign outside to warn possible emergency units arriving at the scene.

I have 2kg of charcoal, for such a small room should be enough. Should I seal the doors only at the time I lay down ?

Don't light the coals inside! Light them outside so they have enough air to start burning, bring them in only when they are ready.
2kg should be more than sufficient.
