When I'm gone and dead will anyone remember me? After I die for my love, will anyone remember me and care?

I'm sure someone will remember you and care and I would like to be one of those people too if I just knew you better. I have close friends who I have made on this site that I haven't heard from in a long time, so I don't know if they are alive, but I will always remember them and care about them a lot.

I wish I knew how to get closer to people, recently I'm just a walking empty corpse waiting to die, so I guess there isn't much to meet.. I can only mourn what I would be if I wasn't like this

I was reading your other thread where you talked about the person that you love so much. I feel like I'm getting to know you just by reading your posts and I know what it's like to live with a broken heart all the time, one that can't ever be fixed or love someone new.

People tell me to move on or to find someone new but I know I never will..

I'm glad my diary is at least good for something, I don't think he'll ever care to read it even if I sent it to him before dying, but at least other people can learn of how I feel.. At this point one could write a book out of all this torment

I'll never move on or find someone new either. It's just not possible. I will remember you based on our shared misery.

I hope I will remember you, Ive seen you quite a bit around here and I think you're pretty cool. As for irl, there will more than likely be at least some people who will remember you until they die, and I think thats nice.

I've heard a saying that up to three deaths await us.
First one, when you die inside. Everything what was once "you" is now gone, leaving behind empty husk that just forgot to stop breathing.
Second one, when body dies and your mortal remains are put to the grave. For some, more fortunate souls, first and second one happen at the same time.
Third, when your name is mentioned for the last time. Let's be honest, those who remember us now, will die at some point too.

So, to answer your question - yes. You will be remembered. But only for a while. Until those who remember you die too or their memory fail them.

Honestly I dont think so, although I admit I find most people pretty interesting. Ive mostly read this thread, another thread about being remembered, and something under the BPD thread from you, personally, and I relate alot to thinking about how I'm gonna be remembered.

Honestly I like thinking about it like that and it comforts me. Because (the internet makes this easier) as long as you leave something lasting enough behind by even just being active online there will always be people to find you again and remember you..

I guess the part about eventually being forgotten and it being as if you've never existed made me depressed, not as much as being remembered by others..
I know it's likely how it'll go, but it's still weird to think about

Apologies, that wasn't my intention. Personally i find it somewhat soothing and that's because i do not wish to be remembered after i'm gone. Memories might bring pain and i don't want anyone to suffer because of me or my departure.
