That's the story with me. My parents have finally given up and saying that If I don't "change" by the end of this year, they're going back to their native country for good. Since I have no friends no extended family here and no classmates I'm connected to, it's gonna be a shit time for me so I'll ctb soon.

I'm wondering if anyone is in a similar situation.

If I lose my income, I will possibly be homeless or poverty stricken. I just got a gun while I'm waiting for word about my income. I will use it instead of becoming homeless.

I worked the worst jobs for 20 years--cleaning disgusting public toilets, scrubbing out bedpans, doing things most people would hate to. And I lived extremely humbly, shopping at second hand stores, wearing the same clothes for more than a decade, buying not a single luxury item, never taking a vacation. I pocketed away just enough to live on for a few years. It was stolen--all of it. I live in a dump right now--likely the cheapest housing in all of the USA. Once I can't afford rent anymore, I'll absolutely have to ctb since I'm also ineligible for nearly every job I'm physically able to do.

The paradox of suicide prevention: "Don't commit suicide!" + "You're not our responsibility; work or die." + "Oh, no companies want to hire you." They want us to kill ourselves, despite their virtue-signaling.

Soon? No. Someday within my lifetime? Practically a guarantee. Once my parents die, that's pretty much it for me (at least that's the hope, anyway). I literally couldn't live without their support, in so many ways I could name, so the idea of me getting by once they're both gone, would essentially amount to nothing more than a death sentence. A point both in, & out, of my favor, funnily enough. Then again, there's also a good chance that modern industrial civilization could could collapse before I'm faced with the aforementioned situation. In that case, we'd all die and I'd be saved the hassle of doing it myself/trauma of living without my parents. That'd really be quite convenient, frankly.

For me it's kind of a choice. I'am able to avoid immediate homelessness but I'm tired of working because there's nothing i really enjoy or look forward to. I just work to stay alive but I don't get much pleasure out of just being alive. I worry that one accident, illness, tragedy, or major expense will leave me in a bad situation and that's a reason I'm in a hurry to die. I want to die while I still have the ability and autonomy. It would be harder to do it in a humane way once u lose your housing and ability to make an income.

Not soon, but I'm sure it will end up happening down the line. I can't function well enough to work full time and I struggle so much in school. I just don't know how I'll end up making enough money to support myself. I've looked into the military but am banned for life. I don't think trade school is a good option for me, either. I'm worried I'll just work part time minimum wage for the rest of my life.

I agree but I wonder whether "work or die" is a phrase that people want others to take literally or not. It might be said as a joke.

Depending upon where you are homeless it could be very real, dying from exposure ect. In many countries there are no socialized benefits like food stamps, soup kitchens for the homeless ect.

I'm soon to be mortgage free, living alone in isolation isn't the best. I work to survive, don't enjoy it at all. Might have to reduce hours on mental health grounds if possible but then that's more time alone

I made money off of Bitcoin, I forgot I bought into it until it was around 9k. I had payed around $50 a coin, and spent multiple disability checks on my coins.

Same here. I won't be homeless but I'm gonna live in extreme poverty in the near future, despite the welfare system in Switzerland. Trust me, living in the most expensive country in the world and also relying on welfare is fucking terrible. I couldn't afford anything anymore if I had my own apartment. I still live with my mom for now, but it's not gonna stay like that forever. That's one of the many reasons for me to ctb. And that's why me committing suicide is inevitable. It has to happen.

I spend almost nothing, but I have the basics covered thanks to my parents. I thought I would have to kill myself much sooner but it seems like I can wait for a few years at least, which is not really that great because I don't care about life, I guess it's better than nothing.

Yes there is but that doesn't affect me. I'm unemployed and I can't work due to my mental illness.
