Thinking of ordering from another country. Will it just be seized by customs and result in a welfare check?

I've heard of stories where people had the cops brought to their house because they had SN. I doubt it will pass because checking for any illegal substances/ items is taken quite seriously, especially because lots of smuggling happens. I would strongly advice against trying to do what you're considering doing, maybe try to get it from another source if you can.

Depends if they label it as SN or not. Chinese sellers will label it as something else so it flies right through customs. Mine was labeled quartz sand

Not

just Australia
there was only one post I've seen on this site about a welfare check and it was in Australia. like lopsidedcrawdad1 said above, it depends on whether it's labeled or not. SN is also not illegal to purchase in the U.S. It's only been under fire because two minors purchased it on Amazon last year and killed themselves with it.

Yeh I had a welfare check and they said I'm not in trouble the substance is legal, they were just making sure I'm okay and alive.

Comments like this make it easier for customs to know what to look out for.

I do a lot of import/export stuff and I suspect they probably won't care as long as it's labeled and you pay any duties that there might be on it. I don't think it's a controlled substance and there are probably all sorts of random commercial enterprises that import this stuff for preservation, etc. You might get a visit from the police but probably not. You'll get in more trouble for mislabeling it, though.

Why not just buy it from a US source?

Probably because US sources no longer sell to people without an actual commercial address and some sort of business license (medical, industrial, food processing, etc)? Maybe it's just my incompetence, but even sources I've found that didn't require any of the above during checkout ended up canceling my orders anyway.

Got me worried i ordered from a Chinese company that says they ship out of CA.
Sent me tracking number with the dang postal service. I ask about customs they said no customs since it ships from CA
But dang use anything other than postal.
I do use it to make beef jerky but such a small amount in each 20lb brisket

I dont think it matters. Its only one supplier that I know of that labels it that. A supplier could label it literally anything.

Could you give any hints to what company you ordered from.

I'm confused. Isn't SN completely legal to order and keep?
