wilderness suicide?

I'm thinking about going on a solo backpacking trip and never coming back. I have a pretty good idea as to where I'm going to go and how I plan to CTB. I'm wondering if anyone has any articles. resources, etc. on this? I've browsed prior threads on this topic and on avoiding being traced/tracked/followed/found. I just want to make sure I get this right and I'm wondering if anyone has tried this but failed. What went wrong? And if they succeeded, how long before being discovered/how were they discovered? Thanks!

I went to the Cairngorms in Scotland to attempt VSED.
I camped out for 6 days of no eating and drinking yet became delerious due to dehydration.
I ended up drinking from a stream so therefore failed miserably.

Interesting. I plan on having a nice last mean cooked over a campfire and they hanging myself as the sun goes down.

Yes, definitely more of a successful chance to ctb with hanging than VSED.

People crawl all over this planet. Someone will find you eventually. It might be years or decades. Drought is turning up people lost long ago as lakes recede. Just figure it will happen.

Thats a fair point. As long as I'm not interrupted I guess it doesn't really matter!
