Discussion Why not just jump off a tall building?

I don't understand why people hang themselves or try to overdose. Jumping off a tall apartment building during a warm summer evening seems so much nicer. It would probably feel surreal.

Pain and also you have a huge huge chance of just permanently disabling yourself and personally for myself the idea of traumatizing strangers and possibly children isn't appealing

You can find many buildings tall enough to kill you instantly. The second part is kinda true ig

Each person will choose the method that seems most convenient to them.

Not all of us live in a city. And ending up collapsed and broken on the floor in full view of everyone, I wouldn't like it.

I was pretty sure about jumping before and still kinda consider it. I'm not that worried about traumatizing strangers but just the idea of my family seeing my mushed up body (if I jump from high enough) devastates me so much that I'm probably not gonna do it.

even if you jump from very high up, there is a [tiny but still] of chance surviving. And a bigger chance of not dying immediately and just dying for minutes in unimaginable pain.
also the survival instinct is huge with this one.
