Method Why not hangman's version of noose knot...full suspension

I have seen some answers here to tie a a noose knot for full suspension hanging and not the hangman's noose knot. Why not? The Hangman's noose knot is just as slippery and tightens the noose. I am using a nylon rope (that ties very slippery) and the hangman's noose knot seems much for secure than single simple noose knot.

I understand most of these answers are in the Evelyn Lane threads. Does anyone know why that person was banned? It doesn't build much confidence that the site administrators didn't embrace this person.

Any knot that closes on its own when weight is applied is good.

The noose knot is easier to do in my opinion. Hangman noose was used in drop hanging executions.

You can add a stopper knot for more security.

I have another question while I was practicing these knots. My rope is 8mm thick. It's rated at 125 lbs. I will be using a double strand of this.

I'm also pairing it with a rolled up polyester shower curtain that I talked about in another thread. It's not the best set up. The rope feels a little thin and biting into my neck. Everyone on hear talks about 12mm or bigger.

I will try to get a wider/stronger rope. How much trouble am I in if I don't manage to? After trying to put my weight on it, I can see how a slightly wider rope might be better.

Lubricating any rope with wax at the point of the "slip", regardless of what type slip-knot is used, is a good practice, also.
