I don't think it's normal when your shoulders hurt when lying down, and pretty much anything.

Yet doctors refuse to do an mri. Generally I constantly have joint pain everywhere, but nah it's nothing they say, no mri needed, just psychosomatic.

This chronic pain too makes me depressed and suicidal. But again, it. Was never taken seriously by anyone.

Why Not, why can't they just make some general checkup?

mri scans are rubbish anyway i've had one for a brain injury i've got mild traumatic brain injury but doesn't show up on mri scan a regular MRI is powerful at detecting serious issues such as strokes, aneurysms, tumors, bleeding in the brain, and so forth. But mild traumatic brain injuries do not show up on standard brain imaging tests because the tissue is not damaged in an obvious way.

My life has been ruined by a misdiagnosis of my severe spinal disease by incompetent doctors. That's why I'm on this site. Here is what I've learned:
  • You won't get MRI unless you try these two methods: 1) soft method: endlessly begging for it, via e-mail, via phone, stating how severe is the pain again and again and again, 2) hard method: telling them to include in their exam report that they refused to send you to MRI, refusing to leave the office until they either give you the MRI or include the information in that report. Doctors don't care about you, but they care about not getting sued.
  • Blaming real physical symptoms on mental health is a real extremely dangerous issue that leads to countless deaths and devastating consequences annualy – it is called "psychologization" of symptoms. Mind and body is MUCH LESS connected that doctors want you to believe. Never accept psychosomatic explanations of your symptoms, don't question yourself. It's not in your head.
  • Radiologists will routinely miss things. My guess is that every second imaging is wrongly described. You need to ask for a second opinion or research it by yourself.
  • Doctors routinely dismiss their patients. Be hard on them.

Exactly. Everyone tends to do that. My mom was no different. That's why my life is over and I have to CTB now.

Many people say go to a doctor when something feels wrong, I used to follow this advice only to be rejected there, or basically the doctor pretended to look at it but actually he didn't do anything seriously.

I'm guessing I won't get m blood test either right? Or kariotype to see if I have klinefelter or not?

My advice is different: research everything online. Doctors have extremely superficial information about each disease, a few hours of googling will reliably give you much more info.

You can get the blood test using the soft or hard method.

I'm sorry you're going through this. You deserve health care and to have your symptoms taken seriously. Even if we did have somatic symptoms, we still deserve to have everything else ruled out before they suggest the possibility of that, just to be sure.

My insurance won't pay for an MRI unless I go through 6 weeks of physical therapy. My first physical therapy session after I got insurance, I felt like they were gonna dislocate my hip so I yanked my leg away from them and they accused me of being "obsessed with pain". No one wants to get their fucking hip dislocated. I want a diagnosis before I do PT bc it's possible I have something that PT could make worse, or that I need a special type of PT to treat. I did briefly do PT before that, I did all the exercises they told me to do everyday, I lost more and more ability to walk for months, and it took me a year to recover. I don't want to go through that again just to prove to them I deserve an MRI

it's like, if you're a woman, or you have any history of trauma or mental illness, they immediately assume it's all in your head. If you're a POC, they immediately assume you're "drug seeking", if you're fat they immediately assume your weight is the cause of all your health problems. It's like, here's a thought, what if y'all just used science to investigate what's going on with our bodies instead of making snap assumptions, idk

Many doctors are overly privileged and have no empathy.
