when you fail a ctb attempt everyone is angry at you for being "stupid" and wasting their money time and resources (them being family/hospital staff/nebulous taxpayers) but when you succeed it's the worst thing that happens to surviving lved ones and they cry they're never going to be the same again how could you do this to me and why didn't you just ask for help?

After I ODd on paracetamol as a suicide attempt, my dad was angry at me for precisely these reasons. The wasting health resources argument particularly pisses me off: if assisted suicide was available there would be no reason for attempted suicide!
