• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I think so too yes, it takes more effort to want to feel the positive ones.

Interesting question. I think @Dot is right. From a survival point of view, it's probably more important that we pay more attention to negative emotions. 'Shit, that looks like a tiger' is more life saving than- the sun feels nice and warm today.

I think as well, when predominantly pessimistic people do experince positive periods, we become afraid of the fall back down. So, it's like- when we're already down, there's maybe a comfort that we can't feel much worse.

It also can take effort to sustain positive emotions or, sustain the activities that produce them. It can feel like a real fight to battle negative feelings. So, I think there's also a sort of lazy comfort in wallowing in melancholy.

I always have negative emotions, except when I order something online and until the package arrives, but as soon as I unpack the package, I feel bad again

because our brains are automatically looking for the worst case scenario as a form of defense or possibly protecting ourselves from danger
