Back when I was a child, I thought that work was like enterprises, initiatives and projects that people artificially make up and are not about sustaining society. I thought that the responsibility given at work matches the capability of the worker, that mistakes can be fixed and that people generally are very polite and nice. When I entered the workforce, I discovered the exact opposite. Work is all about sustaining society. The responsibilities given to people don't match their capacity and their ability to control stuff. Minor mistakes can have disproportinate consequences and there's lots of violence at work. I can't grow in a world like this because it's too full of pain and suffering that makes it very hard for me to function. The world I imagined was not just a dream, it was a necessity, vital to my well being, for my feeling of freedom and satisfaction from life and feeling that life is under my control, that I am the master of my fate, but I found out I was very much helpless.
It's been 13 years and I'm still sucidal.
