Just curious to know & if anyone is comfortable with sharing, If this is your preferred method , Why ?

I didn't know there were different specific positions or what not until I came across SS

There was a time I briefly wrapped a cord just wanting to know how it felt. Let's just say this won't be my first choice. But to each their own of course

Ever since I was a teenager, hanging has been my preferred method. While I am not sure why, it always seems to be how I imagine myself being found by someone.

I am sure I am not alone in this, but I have looked at hangings in photos that are available around the internet, and it is very easy for me to project myself into their position. I just see myself there.

From what I read to, it is one of the more successful approaches and if done right, you will black out before you feel any real pain. But like in any method there is no sure way to know how your body will react when it knows it is dieing, or how much pain you really feel.

I am happy to answer more questions either on the forum or in direct PMs

Me being me I feel like I wouldn't get it right and I know there could be even more trouble for me if I failed. Doesn't seem like I've been given permission to use the PMs quite yet but I will most definitely remember this. Thank you for sharing

You get permission for chat etc after 24 hours on the forum - or at least that is how long I had to wait.

I guess that hanging is one of the more easily accessible methods which is likely why so many people have ctb that way. That is the reason why I have thought about it a lot and considered it, but the fear of failure holds me back from attempting and it does sound like a horrible way to leave, to me. It does make it sound much easier than it actually is when you hear of all these people succeeding with it. If it was that easy then there wouldn't be endless discussions about it on here. It's just so unfair how dying is this difficult.

I agree. If it was that easy , trust I wouldn't still be here. Is it weird of me to say I admire people who go through with it ? … Not that I'm wishing on their demise , more like wish it was me

Hanging seems like such a mixed bag. I've seen full suspension videos where the person doesn't struggle at all and I've seen some where they are clearly suffering with some trying to reach up and get themselves down but they can't. I guess you gotta be lucky enough to hit the sweet spot right away for it to be peaceful.

I would prefer SN or other medications, but they are hard to get in my country. It's the same with guns. So I'll go with hanging because it's safe and quick if you do it right

What's full suspension ? Yeah… see .. I understand it's accessible buuuuuut man… I don't want that struggling or failure. My dad said something along the lines of our bodies literally reject wanting to die (our cells/nervous system fighting back) that's all i vision with this particular method unfortunately
I want to ask where you're from. I see your name includes "German" but I don't want to assume, where is it that it's hard to get meds/guns ?

because it's cheap and easy. I've looked through a lot of the other recommended methods on this forum and they are super complicated or rely on things that I don't have easy access to. Dying is a lot harder than I thought.

I am leaning toward parcial suspensions. While I had one experience of a full suspension that failed, I realized that with a full suspension you can't really adjust the noose once it is tightened. So if it slips over your windpipe it will be a painful death.

Partial suspension feels like you can make adjustments so you can find that sweet spot that will help you loose consciusness. You can practice a bit too before hand, and really know where that spot is.

Just an opinion

I agree - its important to keep things simple - less things can go wrong - and they will

Full suspension is when your feet are off the ground.

First, I'll say that N is absolutely my go to choice if I ever get my hands on it.

With that being said, hanging is somewhat appealing to me because if you get all the placements and positions right, you pass out very quickly and with little to no discomfort. To elaborate a bit more on the placements and positions thing, if the rope doesn't restrict the major veins pulling blood out of your brain AND the rope doesn't compress your airway, it actually feels like nothing more than a tight tug -- no head pressure buildup or choking feeling.

I've practice hanging a few times (using a somewhat abrasive, taut rope), and it wasn't too bad. It did, however, take me many many tries for me to figure out where the sweet spot for me was, and even when I did that, I had a hard time replicating this. Doing this was extremely taxing as well, both physically and mentally, so even though I was only practicing, I could imagine getting super frustrated with it if I was in the mindset of actually wanting to go through with it.

The few times that I did find the sweet spot though, the lights would start going out in just a couple seconds, and I'm pretty sure I would have passed out if I gave myself a few seconds more. The reason why it didn't/wouldn't kill me is because again, I was only practicing (partial approach too), and purposefully gave a lot of rope length so that if I completely lost consciousness, I would fall to the ground and eventually wake up. This made compression a bit awkward, but it still wasn't too bad.

it's highly reliable method as long as you have a proper hanging location. tons of celebrities have gone out this way. it's cheap and easy
