Wikipedia: Public opinion polls show that over half of Americans believe that Crooks did not act alone.

Here is official story why we don't have more information on him.

He was killed at the day of the assassination attempt. No interrogation, no trial, no public investigation.

According to the FBI no clear ideological motives, no membership in an extremist group. no published manifesto.
He donated money according to the FBI there was no clear coherent world view.

Compared to other assassins there were less digital traces. (from what we know - how likely is that in the 21st century?) Less chats, no social media radicalization, there were no long online posts that could have explained them motive.

Restraints in the investigation: no accomplice is suspected, personal rights of the family (really when we talk about a Trump assassination attempt?), no public risk posture.

Media strategy: less reporting about him to avoid copy cat terrorists. (how believable is this when we see the reporting about Luigi Mangione)

The meat of the story is certainly not the official narrative. Lol.

I think the weakest arguments were thus far. Personally rights of the family, avoiding copy cat terrorists, restraints in the investigation.
I wouldn't rule it out there were political reasons for not investigating further. Or to publish more about the case publicly.

I could imagine the lonegun man theory is indeed true. The evidence that is known seems to indicate there was no coherent ideology.
And I ask myself if he would have been paid or had support. Wouldn't it have madee more sense to shoot Trump in the chest from that distance? Trying a headshot is pretty risky in that distance. Okay I have read a counterargument for that. Trump usually wears a bulletproof west at rallies. True I didn't consider that...

I think Trump had many enemies. This isn't a counterargument. Foreign intelligence services or the US deep state could have been involved. I don't say I could not imagine it. The police was extremely unprofessional that day. But the lonegunman theory seems to be more likely to me. On the other hand one could say the decisive evidence is held back by the FBI so that people like me come exactly to this position.

What do you think?
