There's food grade (about 6% I think) and then there's industrial/laboratory grade, which is much much higher and very toxic

it's to kill bacteria in food so you don't get food poisoning which can lead u to get really sick for 3 days but remain alive . a human is much larger than bacteria and so a much higher dose is needed for lethality
