Discussion why do people say "you can do x" when you obviously cant?

by this i meant like they tell you to go get a job, be productive, etc.
and somehow they never understand that there are factors that prevents you from doing that (for example, a disability, lack of finances, etc).
i'm suicidal because of my lack of capability to do anything, what makes you think i can do that? it's this "just be happy" mindset. i never understand why they have to do that. i'd rather just have them ignore me or tell me to die tbh.

is it just me or it feels like it's always about them but never about the people that are suffering.

Most people just don't understand mental health well. And they think things that made them feel better will absolutely work for you often.

I'm sorry people have been hurting you by saying that stuff. It can make you feel very bad I get it. I hope your day can get better
