Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

i'm not vegan, i like to eat meat, but i never understood why people intentionally abuse and torture animals. they didn't do anything, they're just existing here in this world alongside us. i just can't, i just can't imagine what could compel someone to hurt an animal this way. it seems… so unimaginably evil. it makes me lose my faith in humanity so much.

Feeling of power I suspect. I was really cruel to insects when I was young. I feel terrible about it now. I think sometimes people being bullied themselves look for something to pick on. That's not to excuse it. You'd think being a victim themself would make a person more empathetic.
Plus, maybe a sign of sadism/ psychothapy. I think some serial killers started out on animals.
It sickens me to see the abuse animals go through because they are not seen as individual people but as commodities, objects us humans can own, control, and manipulate. It's the "might is right" argument.
Recently I read an article on Vox about how the milk and meat industry is booming because of a recent trend with ingesting more protein. And while people are concerned about the humane treatment of animals in these farms, the only thing that has actually changed is the advertising from the meat and dairy industry. It makes me hopeless that people are content looking away or just not caring at all as long as they can have a few minutes of tasting something good.
