Life is rarely exciting for most people, so what exactly propels them forward? Is working a shit job, doing bodily maintenance, doing chores, facing conflict from others and one's irrational mind and being enslaved by bottomless desires really worth it?

I feel that so much.

There's some people who I swear are favored by god because their life is neatly laid out and congruent like a storybook character, and even when they have trials irs like they get a deux ex machina irl to save them, and theres others who literally go through the most random chaotic heartbreaking shit and die miserably. Its like some people live on disney channel and others live on HBO- or the movie PRECIOUS (My life Is pretty much a clone of hers down to the shitty social worker getting away with SAing me, only difference is im trans and am going to die due to a surgery gone wrong, the guy got away with it anyways ahahaha. Oh well.)

They assume existence no matter its level of quality is worth it? Strange. Why do they enjoy sleeping? Sleep is like death. They should strive to be awake all the time since life is so great.

Cowardice, fear of death. It's not that they love life, it's that they are scared of the unknown and cling to life. They don't want to admit it even to themselves let alone to others - so. they glorify life. But it's all bs

They're phonies. Pitifully unaware of their constant low level suffering. It's always there in the background like static urging them to eat, have sex, go to the bathroom, socialize, etc. Slaves

Their brains laugh at their enslaved mini-me held prisoner in a brain wrinkle. All they can do is watch in horror as this Lovecraftian pink abomination pulls the levers and pushes their buttons.

People believe there is a good ending. People believe that if they work and suffer for long enough, they'll be able to do what they have always wanted to do, except now they're at their end-of-life and probably can't do what they always wanted to.
Others love life for religious reasons, which I really can't even begin to understand.
And others are just happy.

People tell themselves when they retire they can do everything they always wanted, but at retirement (if it even happens), they realize their body is now broken and inflation has made their savings worthless.

Exactly! I feel like the entire world is going downhill, and there's never gonna be a point of return. Things seem to be unchanging, and we are constantly letting history repeat itself. Eventually, this has got to come to an end, right?

No it'll keep going because the players are always changing, which means no one learns from the past. People don't care about history. Repetitious suffering for eons until the sun engulfs the insanity.

Because it's all we have I suppose. I think some people are naturally more positive maybe- optimistic genes and upbringing perhaps. Plus- I suppose- even those who doubt life is all that great sometimes MAKE themselves frame things in a positive light because they don't enjoy the alternative- where the majority of us are I imagine.

Life is all the more exhausting when you fight against the current- especially things you have no control over. Ie. I hate life, I wish I wasn't born, I hate the situation I was born in. Plus- depression saps motivation- so- if you hate your job, hate being unemployed, hate being single- chances are- you won't have the energy to change that either. I think some people at least feign happiness and positivity- even to themselves because it's how they get themselves through.

How we feel I guess is ok if you have no qualms about CTB. Many people do though- they don't want to hurt loved ones and they are afraid of the pain, fear and possibly failing the attempt. Basically- if you know you're stuck here for a while- you to some degree have a choice on whether you want to try and 'recover'- or, just stay as you are.

As for people who naturally seem to love life- I don't know really but some people seem to. I guess it's different for everyone but I suppose the thing that mattered most to them- perhaps they had SOME success in- relationships, career, hobbies, earning lots of money. Maybe that's enough for them to just accept all the other shit. Maybe that's the difference between us though- things DO still matter deeply to them. Most people here have got to a point where very little truly matters anymore. Nothing can really help if you don't enjoy anything anymore.

I don't think many people are happy at all, you can see it in their faces, they are world-weary & want all the noise &
conflict to go away...
the following is something i read someplace, might have come from SaSu ,
....... 'people settle for a level of despair they can tolerate & call it happiness'
One thing i have noticed in the past couple of years is people are purposefully isolating themselves, even from their
friends, perhaps they recognize that its much simpler that way..........

maybe because you only get one and that makes other humanly things possible. it's really sad some people use other people so they don't have the equal chances for being happy or normal.

I really doubt that most people "idolize" life exactly, they just continue as this existence is all that they know, I mean suicide isn't exactly easy and many likely stay here for the sake of other people. If suicide wasn't so stigmatised and was viewed as a valid option I bet that many people would choose to die if it was straightforward.

But I think that when people force the whole "life is a gift, it gets better" type thing onto other people, it's severe delusion and often I think these types of people are in denial, it's like an illness to me how people glorify life and downplay the true harmful nature of existence where there are endless risks, unlimited potential for suffering, cruelty and torment. Existence really is just an unnecessary harm where all that we are destined for is to decay, it's absurd to me how somebody could see existence as being beneficial, those people clearly lack awareness as existence is way worse than just being futile and worthless, it's something repulsive and causes so much damage. The tragedy lies in the fact that none of this ever needed to exist, yet it does.
