Why do many Americans apparently hate Argentina?

Certain Americans who are political zealots like to reduce the entire world down to black, white, asian, middle eastern, and latin american and then apply US racial politics to other countries because we don't know anything about them. It gets on my nerves a lot. Other examples are too many Japanese anime characters being white (lol they're really not) or European fiction being too white such as the Witcher games or Kingdom Come Deliverance games.

Like other people in the thread mentioned though most Americans don't care or even know about the criticisms. It's only a small number of zealots who make up 100% of the discussion.

I'm an American and the only things I know about Argentina are that it has great tango dancers, and a lot of Nazi's escaped there after the war. I've never heard anybody talk about Argentina in real life, except maybe for a school report. It's just not a country on the radar where I live near the border with Canada.

The main reason many Americans hate on Argentina is simple: there are so many Americans, and it's such a diverse country, you can find many Americans hating on literally anything. Haters gonna hate. It makes them feel smart and superior.

Milei is basically the Latin version of Trump, only more liberal and less protectionist, he is against things like abortion and pensions, he is pro-life and a climate change denier... I don't like that guy.

Super interesting to finally see how other countries talk shit on the US. Seems like you're focused on the loudest people, which are usually the dumbest people. I'm sure most simple folk in any country couldn't point out Argentina on a map, so that's not saying much. There's only been two times in my life I've needed to know where Argentina was: back in school for a geography test, and just now for this thread.

To answer OP, they don't. You are getting fed niche propaganda from X. I get it too on there. I have only ever used Twitter/X for porn, but after the most recent election, I've been getting all kinds of violent videos of people fighting or dying, animals getting hurt, or getting conservative propaganda mixed in with my with all my fetish and perversions content. I almost uninstalled until I changed the feed from "for you" to "following."
