It's like I'm always overwhelmed and I'm always panicking and when my sister is annoyed that I'm panicking, it makes me panic. I don't know what's wrong with me.

I dunno the answer to your question, unfortunately, but you have made me realize something -- I have the opposite problem. I am just numb all the time. Stuff goes on around me that would shake a normal person to their core and I just stand there like "Ehhhh ... THAT didn't work out like you thought it would, did it??"
I wonder all the time just what the hell is wrong with me??

I mean it's a handy "habit" to have in an emergency -- everyone else is losing their minds and I'm the one tying off tourniquets and picking body parts up outta the road ... Lol No really! I had a firefighter ask me if I was a serial killer looking for a place to work that had a decent retirement plan. He said he had never seen an untrained person remain so cool and follow directions so concisely before. I dunno. I learned REALLY young that losing your wits around my parents was a really good way to get beat (if I was lucky) and let's just say they could get very creative in their punishments if I wasn't so lucky that day.

Sorry about the parents. The beginning part of the comment was pretty funny you got a snicker and a smile out of me. Thanks for that. I hope you keep being calm but not to being numb. Keep being the serial killer comedian you are. High five and hugs

Any time I can get a grin outta someone around here, it's a good day!
Life sucks bad enough without some random stranger piling on, ya know?? And I have always been a glass half full kinda gal, for the most part, anyway. I haven't been active in a hot minute here -- the main reason for my depression and suicidal tendencies passed away quite suddenly 5-6 months ago and to say I've had a lot to consider (and reconsider) would be an understatement.
I see a LOT of screen names I do not recognize, and am not seeing a few I actually came back looking to check on and see how they were doing. Hopefully the folks I knew from before have found themselves in a bit of an "upcycle" and are actually doing better.
