Why do a lot of people including me feel like we need permission to ctb?

How do we/I get over this needing others to decide for us?

It's really a matter of personal autonomy over one's own destiny. That's really what this website is all about. Who makes the decision for you? If we give up self-governance over our own bodies and lives, exactly what do we really have then? This "right" is truly about as fundamental as it gets.

It's probably a trauma thing. Child abuse fucks everything even ctb. You learn that life is something that happens to you. You're not an active player. I don't know how to undo that

Depends on what you mean by "needing permission" but for me I think it's because 1) sometimes you want to know if people care enough to tell you to not or something or 2) maybe you're subconsciously unsure about if you really want to do it or not
