Why are we forced to be alive?

To suffer and be cursed into an existence we never wanted.
Sorry to say but we never were given a choice or chance. We were FORCED into this wretched excuse called"Life".
I agree infinitely with your deduction. We are indeed forced into this living hell.
No, you are not crazy. You, like myself and the few enlightened ones, realize that this nonsensical life isn't worth living.

Nobody asked me if I wanted to be born or to exist. I would have preferred not to be brought in this world or into these awful machines I also think being alive is empty, exhausting, lonely, miserable to the point I don't see any reason to continue on existing and pursuing anything. Deep inside, I'm a dried up corpse waiting to be put into a relieving eternal sleep so I don't have to wake up pretending like some things are worth fighting for. I don't want to be in this reality any longer.

Because those who "force" you to live, either by not giving you the option to die peacefully with possibly the minimum amount of suffering or by making you feel guilty by saying stuff like "think about your family!" or "you will miss out stuff" are either unable to see the objective meaninglessness (: lacking any significance outside of your experience, or lacking purpose, etc.) of life (and everything else), don't want to lose you as someone they care about (which I can at least understand), don't want to lose you as a part of their labor force, and/or simply too selfish (which may be because they don't want to lose you or because allowing you to die will break their bubble of illusion that life is somehow, abdolutely meaningful or scared or whatever). They are basically a-holes.

For the life of me I can't figure this out either. It's part religions fault and part people projecting their life experiences and their foibles onto any given situation.
People are so heartless, selfish, and all around horrible I can't stand it.
Nobody helps the suffering, they tell each other it's best not to dwell on such things, that there's nothing they can do.
Such lies! There's plenty people can do to ease the suffering of others. They choose to turn a blind eye and blame others, blame the people suffering for putting themselves in that position. As if people aren't put there by others.
I hate people

People say crap such as "life is a gift"... and other meaningless hollow sentiments.

What sort of "gift" is this, if you cannot give it away?

That has been my overriding feeling, from the moment I truly figured out the reality of this life... I want to reject it and give it back. I don't need it, I don't want it and I never actually asked for it.

I would like to stick two fingers up to the universe, partly as a sort of protest against the horrible abomination that this life is, and just say "no thank you, you can take it back"... it's not a deal I would ever have accepted, if you had offered it to me before I was born. I would have categorically said "fcuk off, keep your wretched ugly life"...

I always used to wonder why new born babies seemed so upset and traumatised directly after being born... but when you really sit back and think about it, they were in the perfect bliss of non-sentience. Which was then rudely and violently interrupted. They are damn right to be upset about it...

Depends on whether you believe in something like a God I suppose. Then- there could indeed be mallice as to why we were condemned to be here. Or- there's some bigger meaning we're too stupid to grasp.

If not- then it's chance I suppose. Bad luck. There isn't a why- it just happened. Life just happened and sadly, we evolved to the point where our brains became conscious of the absurdity of it all. Life itself doesn't need to provide a why. It doesn't need to justify itself. It runs according to its own laws. It's a bit like insisting an explanation from gravity as to why it's acting like it is. I mean- we can come up with a scientific explanation for sure but I doubt many people believe that gravity acts with intent. It just does what it does. I imagine life is the same.

Of course- that's a personal feeling when it comes to life and especially consciousness. I think it's perfectly possible that it's an accident just the same though. Just like other evolutionary traits- opposable thumbs, walking on two legs. Maybe being more self aware gave us the evolutionary edge. I think what it also did was to convince us that we were special. I mean- to an extent- we are. We are the most successful species on this planet presumably because we are the most evolved/ advanced. (Or, so we're told- maybe we're just the most ruthless and destructive.) Still- this individualism- which is also valued in our society I think just over-inflates our egos to the point where I think we just imagine we're far more relevant to the universe than we (likely) are.

Many of us actually can't handle being so insignificant. We've decided that we're in fact immortal and spiritual. I think all that feeds into this feeling that life should have a meaning. That it owes us an explanation. Especially when bad things happen to us. Do you suppose animals feel hard done by when awful things happen? I'd say- not to the same extent. They either keep surviving, or- they die.

On the human level though- that depends on what you believe your parents motives were. Did they deliberately create you to watch you suffer? Or, did they do it with the best intentions that you would live an ok life? Or- were they just horny, or following what was expected of them and they didn't give it much thought at all?

In terms of society- you've already answered it. We're all little cogs in the capitalist/ consumerist machine. We're worth money to big corporations and governments. On the individual level- people don't want their loved ones to kill themselves. Basically- we're all selfish. We don't want difficulties or pain or grief in our lives. Rich people and governments need the rest of us to keep them rich. Individuals don't want to go through bereavement.

Forcing people to suffer when they wish to cease existing really is so incredibly inhumane as the fact is that just because some people want to delay the inevitable doesn't mean that everyone wishes to, I could never see existence as being something desirable and for me the only relief lies in death. For me existence was never something beneficial or worth enduring in the first place, it was always an unnecessary burden and only eternal sleep could bring me the relief I search for, I find it tiring just being conscious and aware.

Just remember this beautiful quote from Monty Python: "Life's a piece of shit, when you look at it, life's a laugh and death's a joke it's true."

Life REALLY IS a piece of shit, and is a joke, he's really right lol. It's really nice when you find a song lyric that exactly describes what your going through.

Here is the song: (go to 1:45)

this lyric doesnt really reach me. How can i enjoy something i find intolerable? I cant just say "oh its my last chance - i may as well enjoy it!" as if that would suddenly make everything bearable
