• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

It's an interesting philosophy. I'm even trying to fit it into a Christian biblical framework.

Could you explain it
It's the belief that all or almost all things have some form or conscious experience. So a human with a complex brain has a conscious experience of himself and his environment, but so do rocks and individual particles perhaps, or at least plants, and planets, moons as well as systems like like forests, beehives and galaxies.

It kind of sounds like animism, I'm more inclined to believe I'm not conscious though, just an npc

Animism is not the same. But yeah, it's either everything is conscious, or nothing. To say that consciousness doesn't exist at all is a bit harder to believe since it would deny your own experience even. But saying that only things with central nervous systems are conscious runs into the "hard problem of the consciousness" or the problem of explaining how consciousness arises from matter.

I think that plants, particularly mushrooms and trees, are not only conscious, but that they are probably more intelligent than us.

I don't find myself buying into it.

Hate to break it to you, but you are conscious. Consciousness encompasses having perceptions, thoughts, and feelings, like what you are displaying it right now. Basically, it is about having awareness. It describes varying degrees of awareness of external and internal stimuli.
