Discussion "Where do you see yourself in 10 years?"

Has anyone ever been asked a question like this, or even about something in the not-too-distant future, such as the upcoming semester of classes and asking what your plans are and what you see yourself doing a few years from now. I would imagine questions like this are difficult for most of us, because I know I don't see myself still breathing in 10 years, let alone 1 year.

I used to just flat-out lie. I would come up with grand plans for family, friends, coworkers, teachers, other students. Every person I met that asked me this question has a much different image of me than what actually aligns with the void of my reality. Now that I've chosen a career path, I extrapolate based on that, speaking of hopes for progression and opportunity. It's all bullshit.

Ugh. I sure hope I am not alive beyond the end of 2020, let alone 10 years from now...I try to picture my life 10 years from now and I just can't. I see absolutely nothing. Nothing at all.

I think I'll be gone. Can't see myself living another year but u never know. Highly doubt I'll remain alive in one year. Wether or not I end my life or I die of another cause it will be within a year.

Oof, I used to get asked this all the time at a job course and such and I always answered with a job and living on my own because I knew even then that it isnt ever going to happen, but that if I somehow do live to see past all those hecking years then that would be the less hated outcome, haha. Thought I was gonna be dead by now, 10 years ago.

Ugh! I hate that question (especially when it's asked by mental health professionals who, I feel, should know better).
How am I supposed to answer that? On the rare occasions I try to picture a future I come up blank, there's nothing there.

I literally don't know if I will be alive tomorrow. It all depends on my my partner's owner's decision. When they pull the strings of the puppet to hurry up, puppet tells me to stop delaying my death, and I die.

Will you be given a funeral?

I suppose they will discard my remains somehow, but my partner wouldn't be allowed to give me a funeral. Their owner doesn't like anything that shows I existed.
