Ex-elitist here. Can confirm. I looked down on plenty of people that I deemed to be inferior to me; I also led a voice acting group had more than 160 members. Being exiled means that I can no longer assume a leadership role where I got to decide if someone is worthy or not. That's just how it is if you have an elitist mindset.... being so acerbic could eventually bite you in the ass and cause you to lose everything. When it backfires, you'll have nothing left.

I kinda relate.
Not long ago i was a young guy full of ambition and i also had an elitist mindset.
Used to spend a lot of time comparing myself to others, specially with people with less intelectual and physical skills than me.
Now the physical and aesthetic part went down the sink because of a neurological disease and i'm completely broken. Not much that can be done for me. I'm ruined. I can't even marshal my intelect to try and get something from it e.g university.
Used to think of myself as a fortified castle, no one, nothing could get through my barriers and walls. It was just me and my self love stomping through this life like i was entitled to it.
Little did i know that all it would take to leave everything in ruin was a pathetic and miserable disease that makes me shake hands and lose strength.
No matter, all of that will die with me!

This is so true. People on here are often acting like The Netherlands and Belgium are euthanasia paradises when things are still very rough here. No you won't just get euthanasia when you ask for it. It's a very long and complex procedure and you do have to be lucky to get accepted.
