I'm planning to do it at my house by hanging (support: tree), but i can't stop thinking about traumatizing my mom and brother. They don't deserve it but i don't know of any other place suitable for it.
Is anyone going through something similar?

In order to increase my chances of success, I was thinking of leaving my phone and car far away and just walking I to the middle of the woods somewhere and doing it. It will be SN so I don't want to get scared 5 mins after I drink it and call 911. I'd rather be unable to reach my car or phone in time. That's actually my next step: to drive around and find a place.

Either in a secluded place, like a forest, woods, a room by myself (hotel, motel), or just in some barren place where no one can really reach me. As long as I am far away from anyone who can rescue me and away from possible interfere, then I'd be ok with the location.

I have a similar concern. I don't want to traumatise my mum. The best I can do is leave a note to someone else, so she isn't the one who discovers the body first.

I also have concerns over whether I will actually be able to drink the N. Given that everyone says it tastes really really bad.

Yes it's worth the extra cost. You deserve to go out with a bit of luxury.

My planned hotel has a heated pool—not sure if I will use it but it gives me peace of mind to know it's available if I want to take one last swim.

I also plan on buying good champagne.
And definitely a new dress. I wear a lot of FIG dresses from Canada. The one I wear everyday and wash every other has worn out.

So, treat yourself as SS said: new clothes if you need them, a nice hotel room, a warm bath or shower, a glass of liquor or if you don't drink your fav beverage.


Like you I am budget conscious but I actually think it will be less traumatizing for loved ones to know you treated yourself to a decent hotel room vs some seedy motel.

I will probably be home. Don't have much urge or strength to leave the house, when I start I'd just like to get it over with. If I fail, I don't want to have to deal with a hotel as well...

I think added bonus too with extra nice hotels is that they don't want any publicity or attention as it might affect their bottom line.
