One of my birthdays seems ideal. Birthday/deathday has a nice ring to it.

Will most likely suck for the one who will find me, but my plan is actually a Christmas day

Was my original plan, but some things changed and it might be impossible (might get "saved"). So either around 30th and if that's also impossible, then some very early January.

How do you guys pick a date and stick to it?

I suppose everyone has different reasons. For some it might be when they have privacy or other reasons related to convenience. Sentimental dates seem to be another popular motivation. As far as sticking to it, that is trickier. I already won't make my desired date of January 1 because the supplies won't arrive in time. I do like the thought of the first or last of the month, whichever month, because it works for my OCD mind.

I was supposed to do it last November but circumstances didn't help me so I plan to do it next February or Valentine's Day.
I honestly don't know. I think that when the right time comes, I will do it, but setting a specific date puts a kind of pressure on me.
