As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.
I'm learning SQL and the database side seems nice to me, but I haven't learned any of the front end stuff like HTML or JavaScript to compare. I'd like to get into web development, but my experience is actually better suited for data science.

I cannot work. I can barely leave the house. Before I was ill I was a graphic designer. Before that I was an archaeologist. My hobby was beer and thats kind of why I'm in this mess.

I have no job because they've "decided to move on with another candidate" and wish me "the best of luck on my future endeavors"
I use to work at a museum of sorts (don't want to give too much away here because #trustissues) playing with kids and teaching them about stuff. It was a temp contract and now I'm out of it. I tried applying to a higher position there but they threw me in the reject pile.

I've been out of work for almost two months now and I used to be a dog washer part time while going to college, before that I was working on a call center doing technical support but somehow everything fell apart and well here we are. I've applied to a bunch of jobs all over the country but as time goes on and I kept getting denied for everything I stopped putting energy into it.

trained in counselling, was a nursing assistant for quite some time. was studying general nursing until i lost my baby. And most recently was a youth support worker for people age 13-25 with mental health difficulties. Used to run a support circle for a group weekly. Now look at me. I'm a little bit of a hypocrite I suppose. Been out of work for months now due to my depression.

I'm on SSI (disability) but before that I was a social worker for a homeless-getting-homeless-housed organization (I have a BA in sociology and was halfway done with an masters in social work before I had to drop out due to disability). Before that I was a barista at starbucks for 10 (!!!) years - truly a soul-sucking job. Don't recommend.
ETA these days (when I have the energy) I volunteer at a local needle exchange and play trumpet in an LGBT concert band.
ETA2 whoops didn't realize I already posted in this thread..honestly some days I wonder...

I do day trading on the stock market, with small amounts. Quite difficult and stressful, but if I'm lucky I make enough to buy a pack of cigarettes and a honey bun from the gas station.
