I really like a lot of MMORPGs... Also I think my favorites besides those are Child of Light (by Ubisoft), Life Is Strange, and Dragon Age (Origins specifically).

anything pokemon or zelda is my most favorite. i used to play adventure quest a lot but it doesn't work anymore now.

sometimes i like some of the mii games like tomodachi life and miitopia but sometimes they sort of remind me of my lonely feelings too much. but i like how silly the games are and the way the characters are and making my favorite fictional characters in it.

My favorite games are TRPGs, of all sorts. My favorite TRPG is the one I've worked on with my friend for so many years. It really is our ideal game; I could write so much about it, it'd be the length of a PhD thesis and then some.

Team Fortress 2 and melee probably, i've never played any other games with as much room for skill expression and creativity. insane movement and after dabbling in traditional fighters i honestly appreciate what melee allows you to do even more. haven't gotten into tekken or kof maybe those have more to offer with the more intricate movement systems.

Starcraft would be the next one up in terms of skill expression but i never got good at it so i can't honestly claim it but just watching pros play is like mind boggling to see what they are doing like balancing all their units on a knife's edge from dying in multiple places at once (Clem). respect to bw too but I truly never played that one so i can't appreciate what's happening as much

played lots of cs as well but cs 2 just doesn't hit the same ngl

single player probably metal gear series 3 is best V is an insane disappointment

has anyone played kings field? i just got into it beat the first two. i feel like objectively it's kinda bad but for some reason i enjoy it. especially the combat and ai like you can just do the same thing for every mob hit and run but some reason I got hooked anyways lol

armored core though is amazing even from the ps1 games the design of how the mech parts actually matter and needing to manage your slow turn rate and keep your crosshair at the correct height, as well as manage distance and react to missiles coming your way is really amazing they were able to make a game like that on ps1. choosing the right weapons for the mission with balance of damage and ammo. armored core 6 felt too easy in comparison though still really fun , that's somewhere better graphics and framerate really does come in to make a new experience, but feels a lot less like you're actually piloting a mech. old games with restrictive controls actually force you to strategize around them — same with old camera systems. all cameras just being glued over the shoulder now also makes every game feel exactly the same — silent hill 1 for example the camera having a fixed cinematically designed starting point for every room really helps shape the whole distinct atmosphere of the game (as well as low poly leaving room for the imagination)

I like Action-Adventures in third person. One of the best imo is Prototype 2 with cheats. You feel so unbothered there. Ofc the Assassins Creed games. But I liked also Sims 4 (on Laptop with cheats), Town to City. The only first-person games I've played are Dishonored, Dishonored 2, and Death of the Outsider.

Oh edit: I can recommend Blacksad and Sherlock Holmes Chapter One. If someone likes detective games, both of these were great imo but not openworld. In Blacksad you play a big black cat.
