Help What's wrong with shooting myself?

I'm new to this forum and so far I haven't seen anyone talking about shooting themselves. Is it not reliable? It's always been my plan for if I CTB, as poisoning and hanging seems too slow and painful. Should I reconsider this plan?

Firearms is one of the most reliable methods if you aim correctly. Its just you won't see it talked about much as most people can't access firearms at all or don't like the violent, non-peaceful nature of it. But there are still some discussions of it and a megathread for it:

If you get the angle wrong, you can end up with just a horrible mutilated face or become a vegetable. Some french guy even survived a shotgun and now needs a face transplant. It is very reliable if you get the angle right though. In a lot of countries firearms are hard to get for civilians.

Yep, they might be more doing less thinking kind of folk.

Yes, practice ahead of time a lot to get a feel for the device.

This method as a lot of things are all about the right kind of practice every day.

Knowing where to aim. And pactiing in mirror, camera . And practicing dry firing without ammunition

Its like ok go do a high platform dive into water from 30 meters up . If u go up there without research and practicing and dive u probably will injure or kill urself

Olympic divers always hit it right not cause they were born knowing how no it's hours of the correct kind of practice every day

We have a pretty big international crowd here, so the majority of people do not have access to guns like those of us in the US. Even in the US, some states have very strict gun laws, including not selling to people with prior psych holds.
