Serious answer. Probably my mom beating me up almost every single day from age 5 to 15. Or watching gore. Or when I learned that some people have passed away. The shattering feeling when one realizes one had a psychosis. Or when my grandfather died of a stroke after a family argument. My family blamed me and the funeral was a nightmare. I have many choices.

It's okay. I basically grew up in a veterinary clinic, so I was intimately familiar with the circle of life WAY before most kids. Sometimes I wonder if that didn't color my attitude about life and death, in general. I have never feared death like some people do. Only reason I am still here is my son. When he tells me he is okay with me moving on to whatever is next for all of us, I am gone.

My best friend's mom beating them. I was as visiting for the weekend. I was downstairs and their mom burst into their room upstairs yelling and started hitting them. Their screams will haunt me the rest of my life.

I was incredibly sheltered as I child, so I had no way to process what was going on. I started crying and called my parenta in a panic to come pick me up. I was also taught not to talk back to adults so I did not do anything to help my friend. I will always regret not flying up those stairs and defending my friend with everything I had. I was have gladly murdered their absolute toxic bitch of a mother if I had known then what I know now.

Well i guess for me would be when my mom gor pissed at my sister their basically water and oil so yeah it go heated fast.

My mom started hitting her not like a normal hitting a bit worse and then my mom told my sister to get out of the house basically pulling her.

Ofc screaming late at night, I tried to make my mom stop but she threatened me that she'll hit me too. I guess there's was also a threat of police.

I had an anxiety attack cuz my mom used to this when we were little but a bit more severe and it back some awful memories. My other sister tried calming down and that helped.

She later apologized but I have a hard time believing her at this point.

How I almost lost the battle against my mental health a few years ago

I've actually been quite lucky in that I haven't actually witnessed too many very traumatic things. I've been through things that felt traumatic but likely wouldn't be, compared to other people's experiences.

I was a part of a large crowd that witnessed a plane crash at an air show once. That was shocking. It just fell out the sky pretty much and exploded on the ground. It was worse because I think his wife may have been in the audience. In a way, it was similar to emotions felt here sort of. In that he died doing something he chose to do, that he must have realised carried risks. He obviously didn't intend to die but, he must have known it was a real possibility.

I remember being very young and on a school trip to a museum. A staff member was sitting on a big flight of concrete steps with people all around holding her head. I think she must have fallen. I found that very upsetting at the time.

We also went to Ypres on a school trip and visited a museum about the war and concentration camps. I think anyone at any age seeing piles of emaciated bodies being bulldozed into huge ditches would feel sickened. Plus, the sea of tombstones was really upsetting.

I also feel like I witnessed what I would call a sexual assault on one of my friend's young brothers by his Mum. I truly didn't know what to do or think at the time. I just kind of sat there dumbfounded trying to observe and take cues by how her family reacted. To clarify- it wasn't rape or anything. She sort of flipped him upside down and grabbed his nuts and made some comment on how he enjoyed it. I just felt so uncomfortable and sorry for him. Obviously, it was really embarassing for him.

I think some people like to shock others. Someone I knew who was older seemed to deliberately reveal their self harm scars. I was very young at the time so, that felt pretty distressing.

I think the worst injury I saw on that website was a woman with a freshly acid attacked face and it was all red and fleshy (still alive), or this video of a dead man getting his intestines eaten out by his daughter while a bunch of camera crews just watch. Even then, I don't feel traumatised. Don't feel much at all.

I live in a decent neighbourhood in a country with strict gun laws so I haven't really seen anything terrible in person. Only seen roadkill once and I was like "well, that's a dead squirrel" and walked past it.

Saw a docudrama when I was 14 about a series of shark attacks and the effects were very well done (much better than Jaws) which made me a little uneasy but that's not the same as it's all fake.

The comments are most of the time worse than the actual video. But I don't really feel much in general (some autistic thing I think) or I do feel much and I'm just blind to it. Either way, it takes a lot to disturb me and this is coming from someone who laughs at murder scenes in slasher films.

Witnessing and experiencing myself going through a stroke from a man who is a doctor who was drunk that I was romantically seeing come up and adjust my neck to hard and tear artery in neck sending blood clot to brain . Going paralyzed on one side of body not being able to walk, loosing my ability to swallow and not be able to even swallow my salvia and being so dizzy the world was spinning and wondering if I was dying and I was airlifted to hospital
