Discussion What's the stupidest thing you almost did that could have had serious financial/emotional/legal consequences?

Legal - almost assaulted someone with a knife but cooled down

Emotional - almost told a teacher she was hot but a student convinced me not to

Financial - almost bought peroxide and bleached my teeth which would have certainly ruined enamel and even cost me more in the long run. My friend did that and now he has expensive medical bills

In a fit of rage after an argument, I drove 25 mph over the speed limit on a highway, if I got in trouble, could cost me a hella lot, speeding ticket, license revocation, and other consequences. So there would be financial, legal, and emotional consequences. The emotional consequences would come from the financial and legal consequences as well as social consequences (like other people finding out).

There are other darker things when I was younger that I almost did (or contemplated about - some of which are really disturbing that I wouldn't even share here). However, I'm very glad that someone either talked me down, and/or I convinced myself not to act on them.

All these things were when I was younger, like 7-8 years ago, in my early 20's. I am a lot more mature nowadays and level-headed than when I was younger.

After several years involved in the sale of illicit substances,I was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison.
I was accused of pretty much money laundering,to the tune of £56,000
Lucky thing was,that was all from the evidence found on a few old mobile phones. Nobody ever checked my PC.
The entire 2 decades leading up to it were just stupid and dangerous.
I hate that undeniably,although I wasn't giving it to them directly,no doubt,I played my part in ruining the lives of those people at the end of the supply chain.
I lost my freedom,I lost my partner(forever),I lost the respect of my family.....yup,I suppose I lost everything.
STUPID.

absolutely not, that was wayyy more sexual. im a minor and i was a minor when it happened but it made me feel bad because of the age difference

I tried to be careful, because i was scared she could be an irl person or a pedo : it seemed to be the only dangers possible. But i forgot that she could be younger than me. Anyway wont do it again with someone i dont know. Nor with ppl i know irl, because theres a possibility of revenge porn, and its even worse

Have children by men I was not married to, who didn't want me other then sex, unwilling, or unable to provide. The poor kids would have potentially suffered the same impoverished situation and disadvantage.
