what is the point? is there a point at all? i heard someone say "the meaning of life is whatever keeps you from killimg yourself" im sorry if my words seem a bit incoherent

What do you like to do? Like hobbies? Hopefully that's something you can love to do. If you love helping people maybe that's what you ought to do. Life is complicated so I'm sorry if you're feeling down but I hope you can have some happiness sometime soon.

There are multiple ways to look at this question. A nihilist would look at the question and scoff at the principle that you haven't seen that everything you do doesn't matter and that you should lay down and die. Or, look at the situation optimistically (the ideology i subscribe to) and derive that how yes, nothing truly matters so, go all out. Try new things, find interesting people -- like minded people --, go root for the "game" that has no bearring on your life.

The point of it all is to take it all in. interact with it, toy with it even.

But there is no point to existing anyway, life is just an useless and unnecessary concept, where as humans we only exist just to suffer, deteriorate and die. I struggle with the same question. Many people tell me that love will come, but I doubt it. Unfortunately life can be lonely and sad. I think maybe there could be value in oneself. Don't get me wrong, I hate myself, but I also think that most of what has purpose from me also comes from within so idk. Sorry if that was a bit rambly.

I expect it would help definitely- some sort of support system. People who genuinely care. Still- I think it takes effort. A friend once said to me I ought to put as much effort into my private/social life as I did with my education/career- both have failed incidentally! I don't believe anything in life just lands in our lap.

I suppose it is partly chance as to who you happen to meet in life but it does mean going out there to meet people- opening yourself up to that possibility. Plus- if you're lucky enough to find some like minded people- it then takes huge amounts of effort to keep the friendship going. I think it CAN be easy at first but then- as our lives become more demanding, it's easy to just let things go and find yourself alone again.

Can I ask- are you actively trying to seek out friends/relationships and struggling? Or- is it just a struggle to do that initially? I'm quite shy and socially anxious. Plus- I'm old (probably in comparison to you) 43- and I've become very cynical towards friendship and all relationships really. That's the other problem really- you can find that putting your trust in people can end up hurting you if they let you down. Which can make you reluctant to trust people in the future.

Anyhow- I really hope you do find what you are looking for and I hope it turns out to be all that you hope it will be. All the very best.

I get where you're at, I'm there myself at the moment. I say, take your chances and end your life. I don't mean to sound like a bad person, but if you're certain that you'll never find any type of love, it's your best bet.

i feel like the idea of love is pointless i've tried dating in the past but it only leads to heard break and pain.
i've been told that if i let someone love me again i'll change and be happy but i feel like that simply isn't true, temporarily yeah maybe but nothing lasts forever and we end up dying alone my view on love and romance is quite negative since i've only experienced the bad sides of it.
my opinion might change in the future but right now i hate the idea of love
i feel way more comfort with isolation, if it's a friendship kind of love then i don't mind i prefer that over romance.
