• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Sorry about your headache >_<

Over time I've learned that aging is not a process of collecting wisdom but of accumulating scars.

I've also learned that even the best things in life come with considerable cost, and that they're ultimately not worth it. These "good" things people speak about, they're only distractions. They can make life more tolerable, but they can't make it worth living.

I learned about efilism, which is an extinctionist philosophy that says all life needs to go extinct to end all suffering. While I wish sometimes there was another way, I don't think there is.

Hopefully your headache is feeling better.

Regarding practical/ creative skills, there's always more to learn- quite often through doing things wrong and trying to work out a better way. The trick is to remember it, the next time you need to do said thing. Which I manage to annoyingly forget frequently enough.

It's taken many decades for me to learn that me worrying intensely about something doesn't usually help. Not that that is enough to stop me always. I think to some degree- ideation has helped in that. When you intend to kill yourself, how much can life things matter?

I suppose it's also taken a long time to learn my own mind. To know where I can be heading into trouble. I'm prone to limerence and binge eating. So- those two things for example- I'm conscious when my thoughts start heading in that direction- to try and nip them in the bud. It's not like I have full control over my mind and emotions but- in some regard, I feel more control over them- rather than them controlling me. I was such a mess in my twenties.
