What would you do if suicide were impossible?

I've been thinking lately that every method is too damn hard/unreliable. So there is a chance that I'll never be able to go through it.
What would you do with your life if you learned that suicide is not possible?

One of the characters allows the director of a mental hospital --sadistic in mind and reason -- to surge electricity in his brain to slowly destroy his memory, which for the character and Sebald consider a sort of suicide.

Personally, I think alone in the wilderness is the best if you are not starving to death. In the wild you may lowered your desire for material. Possible you will find the meaning of life. In the wild, you don't need credit card, ID and money. When you are sick or attacked by animals you don't need a doctor. Let nature decide your destiny. You don't need to love and hate. You don't need to worry what other people think of you. You just nobody. The problem is hard to find a isolated place and this is hard decision because you have to give up all.

I'm in such a similar position to you & my mind is like a pendulum swinging from I do want to kill myself to I don't want to kill myself, then back to I do.

If suicide wasn't an option.. I seriously don't know I think just see where life takes me. Not so bad I guess :(

I am an extremely impulsive person if I had access to the sn I believe that in a particularly emotional and desperate moment I would take it, maybe I could regret it during the passage from life to death but I know that at that point my life will no longer be covered by misery...

OPs Question:

I'd give up and just stay in my room, watch stuff all day and I'd try starving myself (which I nearly succeeded in in 2014) so I'd give it another go...even if it would take months/years in the form of gradually starvation.

If i know that suicide is impossible to exit suffering permanently, that sounds choking terrible thing, it's like taking away the right that everyone should have, if others decide to bring me into this life and I'm not allowed to exit, it's terrible. It is worst kind of rape and imprisonment, in real world suicide is always possible i think if one can get himself to do so, but if for whatever reason one cannot, i think just hope for natural death,i would personally damage myself as much as possible, self destruction
