My first car was a 1985 2 door Chevy Cavalier. I found this picture from April of 1996 just before it was towed away for good. I was rear-ended pretty hard and the insurance company totaled it.

I had a buck literally JUMP on top of my car in midday traffic.

5K in damage, radiator busted and needed a new hood.

It was "rutting" season and the deer was spooked apparently, after I spoke to a couple folks after the accident, which was the fourth deer incident with a vehicle in my relatively small town that week.


It's sad all around-they don't have natural predators except lousy humans.

Mine wasn't nice, just an old farm truck. 8 mpg and power nothing except for the pedal on right. Made a lot of money with that pickup

Well, they were small enough, so you could almost literally hug them :D
It was always fun to see big burly guys getting in and out of them :)

In the early 2000s I would have killed for a cool little Beetle, but I had to make do with the Trabant until 2004. A Renault Clio followed it.

Ended up with a Fiat punto after the Micra, then the Daewoo Nubira, which is another story. Think I might have got a provisional licence but never got round to lessons.

My first car was sold to me by my grandad, an old old S reg Honda Civic 1.6 that in pristine condition, within a year of passing my test i wrote it off in a my fault collision (drunk) with a black cab. Felt so bad about that one.
Second car was Fiat Panda that i wrote off, again within a year of owning it, by stuffing it up & over a ditch into some grumpy people's front garden (drunk again)
Third car was a Fiat 126 that had a coming together with a small wall (you guessed it, drunk again)

All told 3 cars in less than 3yrs, thankfully i gave up drinking..

A white 1995 Hyundai Sonata. The reverse gear broke after a while so I could only park in pull-through spots. Sometimes I'd forget, and have to put it in neutral while I rolled it back out of the spot myself. Some real Mr Bean shit sometimes, lol.

I was thinking the same thing. They sure don't make them like they used to..I REALLY miss it. A lot! It was awesome on those curves too. I never took them dangerously, but it could really hug those sharp ones while still going about 40mph.
