Anybody else have anger issues? What have you done to help minimize it? Like lately for example I can't for the life of me stand people who can't try to understand my point of view and it's gotten me so fucking angry. I feel like I'm going to fucking explode cause I try to bottle it up as much as I can but still. I'm just so lost on what to do about my anger issues in general.

I used to have anger issues and then I started taking klonopin. I won't go in the details of my story here. I can tell you that after starting klonopin I would still get angry and frustrated from time to time. However, after 5 or 10 minutes I would just say whatever who cares to myself and let it go.

The best advice I can give is don't bottle up your anger. Find a way to channel the anger through exercise, meditation, or benzos.

I'm battling my landlord right now and it's frustrating and been going on for a month. They refuse to believe that there is something wrong with my HVAC. The klonopin calmed me down and I took some video evidence to prove the issue. After 10 minutes of being frustrated and submitting the video evidence I wasn't angry or frustrated anymore.

First of all, Im sorry you are feeling so misunderstood and unheard.

Delta 8 helps me when I need that extra bit of help I cant over rely on it or it will stop being helpful due to tolerance.
.I cut out sugar and social media because my fuse was short and I was irritable.
I also used to run or do other things to get aggression out.

If it makes you feel any better, humans are more wired to come to conclusions and see their point of view first and foremost. It takes practice to see other information. Maybe just never learn that from their parents/teachers. It becomes a cycle.
Being sheltered and away from people as a kid (abuse, neglect and circumstance) I had to learn and read a lot about humane behavior and communication on my own as an adult. I was clueless. I'm still very awkward and "odd" but I understand it a bit better now.

also figuring out what else is behind the anger. Anger is a response/reaction to other emotions you are feeling. Once it stsrts the part of your rational brain and even a sense of humor is compromised. It's much harder to communicate, and perspective can get warped. (on both sides) Most people want to be heard and validated.

In summary for me its calming practices and reading up on communication to better empower myself.
When someone tries to see my point of view, I appreciate it a bunch because it's rare. I also try to do the same for others.
A therapist might help if I had insurance.

Thats just what I do. I'm not an expert.

Anger, like frustration and disappointment, is a result of a conflict between what we expect and what actually happens. it is more pronounced when it is sudden or if there is an already higher level.

Having a more realistic set of expectations can sometimes help. For example, if instead of expecting people to understand you, you might consider rejoicing when someone actually does. In the short lived TV series "Life" a woman who was in the security and survelance business declarred that she knew everything. Another character then says, 'Gee, what's that like". To which she replied, "disappointing".

find any way you can to let it out that doesn't hurt you or anyone else. i'm guilty of being impulsive and harming myself & starting fights when i'm raging. removing yourself from the situation can help, but sometimes it's about something bigger and you can't really do that, so i usually try to go for a walk or i find an object i can clench really tightly to get the "physical" feelings out (since i find them the hardest to deal with). clenching your whole body and then releasing gives you that sense of relaxation after i guess. i prefer weed though.
