I was thinking that if I do it close to events like christmas, easter and such, I might ruin those for people who knew me because it would remind them of what happened. Also, if it's gloomier season like winter, it could be shittier for them to deal with grief?
Might be stupid to overthink this, but I like to consider every detail plus it's last thing I will do, so why not by full effort.

It HEAVILY depends on what country you are in as different countries have different celebrations throughout the year.

Also, as a sufferer of reverse seasonal affective disorder, summer is my "gloomy season" so you can't really generalize to winter.

Personally, I don't think it matters. People are going to miss you on holidays no matter when you leave.

Yup I should look into that. Well, from what I know my family celebrates only the big ones, easter, christmas, halloween etc. but I will check all the specific holidays for my country also. Now I remembered I should include birthdays too.
Didn't think of that reverse seasonal thing, you are right that everyone has it different so probably impossible to choose unless I check with everyone.

Life is the night, I seek the warmth of the sun.

The summer:
The idea that its a warm, bright day, in a field surrounded by grass, and trees. Not a cloud in the sky, the warm sun beaming down on your face, heat light, and happiness as all the misery comes to an end. You die in nature, and he or she takes you back in their embrace.

The winter:
It's night, the snow is on the ground, more is falling. The city lights are on and you're walking through somewhere empty. Tonight is the last night of your life, metaphysically you're about to end that long night, and step into the sun, death in the snow.

I am feeling a little sappy after coming down from anti depressants

If I could choose I would choose spring, this way my body will be put into the ground just when a fresh generation of plants needs nutrients. I will also ask that the idiots don't put me into a coffin or some nonsense like that, I want to be buried naturally.

Yeah I wouldnt do it around the holidays or anyones birthday. Thought about my birthday seems quite apt going out on the same day as I was born. Also rather than them mourning on my birthday aswell it would also be my ctb date, so one less hard day for them.

I was thinking of doing exactly the same thing, but unfortunatelly my brother celebrates his birthday close to mine.

I'm the same way. I don't have a solid plan yet, but I want to go sometime this March hopefully since it isn't around any holidays. I'm also thinking maybe August or September, if I can get my plan in place by then, but I'm not sure since those months are pretty close to the holidays.

On the contrary. I'd like to leave the scene during New Year's Eve, with the sound of firecrackers drowning out my gunshot.
