So I went to the dentist today to check up on an abcess and a loose tooth. Turns out I have paradontitis. Basically becuae of stress/a genetic defect, tartar kills my gums and the bone around my teeth. And I regret going to the dentist for the check up because I'm going to kill myself in 2020 and now I find out I have spend money behind a procedure called a deep scaling.

What's even worse is that I told my mom everything the dentist said. I hate myself for doing that becuase now she's gonna put more pressure into me getting a job or waste more money behind my dieing ass. I'm gonna kill myself anyways so why did I have to go to the dentist? Why the hell did I tell my mom? I'll tell you why, it's becuase of that god damn survival instinct making me fear that I'll fail my suicide and also the fear of getting older and looking ugly. At the end of the day, none of that fucking matters cuz either I'm gonna die or I'm gonna loose my teeth anyways so why bother with preventing it from happening early?

After I calmed down and processed everything I told my mom that for now I'll take the antibiotics and the special mouth wash the dentist perscribed and I'll only do the porcedure once. After that I'll just use the special mouth wash and if I lose my teeth early we can go and get dentures together.

Honestly people if something's wrong with you, leave it the fuck alone. Tell your survival instinct to fuck off. That way your body can destroy itself and you won't have to waste money before you kill yourself. Also keep it secret.

Why 2020? I would get the procedure done so at least you can live pain free till then. You might change your mind and then have no teeth. But there's a risk to everything.

Honestly I wanted to give myself time so that I can get brave enough to do it. Instead all I get is my survival instinct pushing hope up my ass. As for the pain, I'm not getting any at the moment. So i guess with the mouthwash it would slow it down.

I dunno. I would get the procedure done properly. For me, there is a certain charm in dying with all your teeth intact. 2020 is really far away, you never know what you might feel then and you might decide to go through with the suicide earlier or to postpone it.

I've spent a small fortune at the dentist over the last 8 years. The last time I went in with unbearable pain, they took an X-ray, didn't find anything, but still wanted to do a $6K root canal. I refused and within three weeks the pain was gone. No pain since (nearly a year). Health "care" in the US has become, like education, JUST a business--milk as much money out of the consumer as possible.

They basically want you to spend 5k on each tooth before they eventually extract all of your teeth and make you pay 10k + on dentures which have to be replaced every 5 years or so. So over the course of your lifetime you and your insurance company (if your lucky enough to have dental insurance) will have to give the dentist 100k just so you have a really nice set of teeth when they put you in your coffin.

I hope you're not offended that I thought this was hilarious. Charge us thousands per tooth while we still have them, then take all the teeth out so we become lifelong customers through dentures. :)

It's funny, ridicules, and 100% true... But not as ridicules and insane as grocery stores making people bring in their own bags to bag their grocery's then making them go through one of those self check out lanes!

I live in a country where you can get health care for free and that includes dental. The catch is that the government makes it unbearable to get the free stuff. Monday I went to a health office, only to get a referral becuase the chair was busted.

Today I went to another health office, only to be turned down for not getting a fucking number. They only have 15 spots and all 15 numbers was gone. There was literally no sign saying to take a no. at the security booth. How the fuck was I supposed to know? Then the ugly fatass of a security guard told me "that's why you should ask questions" I yelled in my head FUCK U BITCH I'M NOT A FUCKING EXTROVERT LIKE THE DUMB MOTHERFUCKERS IN THIS COUNTRY!

And get this, the dentist in that Health Office only sees adults on Fridays. Tax payers money is really going towards us. Fuck eh. I literally had to go private to check it. I had to pay money for something I could've gotten free. Something everybody in my country pays for via taxes. But no our Prime Minister is wasting it behind golden toilet paper.

It seems all governments are corrupt and/or dysfunctional. :( I listened to a talk by Chompsky about how what's happening in modern USA mirrors what happened during the 1917 Bolsheviks Revolution as more and more power was being transferred from the people to the super-wealthy and powerful. Now we're seeing the same thing with corporations buying the government and even expanding beyond national borders (globalism).

You have to be enough of a shark in life to survive. Which is why super-sensitive people like us eventually try to check out of life.

Two thoughts: (1) If the standard of living on average is "above average" in the USA, that tells us a lot about how painful the experience of life is generally and how people can delude themselves into believing their pain is pleasure. (2) I think the standard of living in the US is OK for wealthy people. For the poor, living in a country with very few social safety nets, especially if you're the "wrong type of person," can be a death sentence.

I've lived all over the world, including Europe, South America, North Africa, the Middle East, China, and Thailand. Maybe I've always been screwed up, but I didn't like living anywhere. You have to be a good enough version of a human being, I think, for others to give you enough of a break to make life bearable or enjoyable. Hope things are at least a bit better for you.

Capitalism is becoming the global "system." Things are vastly worse in China, where I lived and worked for years. All anyone anywhere cares about (generalization...) is making money so they can get more of whatever they want even at the expense of others. Average Joes complain about the corrupt government, then they get power--start a small business...--and do the same things to everyone else. The rich just have more power to do what average people try to do. Maybe trustworthiness is just a myth, like "justice."

Sorry for the rant and the generalizations.

Your 100% right! people are equally corrupt from top to bottom... the only difference is that the people at the top aren't accountable to anyone

Outstanding. Agreed. The value of power is that you can get away with doing the things everyone else is getting penalized for doing.

What's fucked up is that the people of my country voted for this government simply becuase they're black and they allow allot of corrupt things go by. Whomever said people of ethnicity can't be raical clearly never lived in the Caribbean. Only twice did an indian goverment won, and while they're not better, atleast they were trying to fix the corrupt government's mess and becuase they were too preoccupied with trying to fix things, keeping their party from falling apart and stopping corruption, development of the country went slowly resulting in the people voting in the corrupt government again. I mean shit A KNOWN CRIMINAL IS ONE OF OUR MINISTER, how fucked up is that?

Ugh! Deep scaling lol! I haven't had to do that but I've had cleanings and those suck too. I can give u a huge piece of advice I've learned because I was stressing about dental issues. This can greatly reduce the need to see a dentist in the future and strengthens the enamel of your teeth within like two weeks of daily use. Can even repair minor cavities or slow the progression of cavities. The cod liver oil shop on internet has a mixture of cod and high vitamin butter mixture that basically rebuilds enamel. It's somewhat spendy though. Like 50 ish for a small jar and u really need the stuff not in the capsules. I tried both, the cinnamon flavor is the best one. It took my tooth pain away, less sensitivity, no bleeding gums. But the shitty part is u need to take like a table spoon or so per day. If u stop using it the tooth pain and discomfort come back gradually and it's not like it works unless u use it fairly regularly. I would forget to take it sometimes but it still helped a lot.

Government is not necessary, people can solve all their problems if the people behind the government would just get out of the way.
Socialism is what kills people not free market capitalism, we are brainwashed in school bc the elite benefit from treating us as a collective vs what's best for individual persons.

We live under socialism not free market capitalism. The more free the market the better off everybody is and gradually the political elite have destroyed free markets so now people are getting poorer. Rich get richer and the poor get poorer under the current system.
