What position should i be in with exit bag and why?

As far as I have read, you need to sit up since the gas is lighter than air.

Good question. If using helium you need to be sitting upright. Google Derek Humphrey videos (the dude who wrote Final Exit) on YouTube.

Nitrogen is heavier so it doesn't matter so much. I plan on laying in bed, upper torso propped up on pillows probably.

I think your main concern should be securing the tank to a heavy piece of furniture—with nitrogen I don't think body position is as much of an issue as with helium.

sitting slightly reclined is ideal from what I understand. I'd be afraid of the bag coming off laying down.
