I can't decide whether I'm INTP or INFP. I have both the attributes of the one type and the another type. Also my political preferences are very undefined - I don't know if I'm more an idealist or liberal.

Hey now, zodiac signs and astrological charting has some level of reliability with many of us, IMO, just ask my good friend PP. Some people might not know that the late President Ronald Regan used to consult with his astrologer before he made key and strategic decisions as President of the United States. I recall reading back in the day that he would put off implementing strategic decisions based on what his astrologer told him concerning his personal astrological chart.

I thought that 30 years ago when I took the test. Imagine my shock 30 years later when I took the test again and got the same result. And then I found out that the only woman I ever felt utterly comfortable with had taken the test and got the same result. I hate being categorised, but when it actually works I have no choice but to accept it.
However, I concur. There is nuance in everything and i don't think anyone is ever 'just one type'. It's after all, just a useful frame of reference, like anything of it's ilk.
