Linkin Park - Shadow of the day

The lyrics describes everything perfectly and the fact that Chester Bennington commited suicide not long ago make the feelings more real and also that I listened to Linkin Park a lot in my pre-teen years and teenage years.

This album in general is a favourite of mine and Genesis have always seemed close to my heart for their inspired music and lyrics, their beautiful melancholy. Thanks for reminding me of it. Now i'll have to go through everything they ever recorded to pick something.

It won't be everyone's taste but for me, the lyrics, Elizabeth's voice, Buckley's lyrics - most beautiful song I ever heard.

The entire album is extraordinary, Songbird. It's been a while since i heard this album and it makes me cry every time, i don't know why exactly and i don't need to explain it. I'm trying to find a link for the whole recording for anyone who doesn't know this. This particular song is clearly about death and the relief it can bring, in the most beautiful poetic way.
