Anything that carries the risk of great physical pain, which is actually most methods. Really the only methods that I would accept are inert gas/CO inhalation, and certain painless drugs (e.g. opioids, possibly nembutal).

the answer depends, sometimes i have an urge to jump, shoot myself, or ram a knife through my chest, however for the most part these are options id prefer to not do. id rather just pass out and have no idea whats going on

As far as actual common and effective methods, hanging @_@ I get queasy reading about the science behind it. That sort of visceral medical/biology stuff in general does weird things to me.

One time I saw my eye doctor and he was like "hey, you've got some increased intracranial pressure and it's causing the optic nerves to swell in your skull" and I just fainted and threw up. I'd much rather jump off something or in front of a train than think that much about arteries or blood supply...

Jumping in front of a train or off a bridge into traffic. IMO these are some of the most selfish ways a person can go as you are massively impacting strangers lives. I wouldn't want that. I would want to cause another suicide as I know it happens a lot with train drivers who hit a jumper.
