So this is how the character in my story plans to go out…
SN with everything recommended in Stan's guide/PPH secured and ready to go. Considering an "insurance" measure of partial suspension from a steel beam in the basement. So basically he would follow Stan's guide, and after drinking SN take a seat on a stool (1 of the 4 legs having been removed with the removed leg facing the front of his body) under the beam rigged with 1/4 inch lubricated cotton (low stretch) rope secured to the padded (don't want to fail from the rope breaking due to friction) steel beam. The rope set up uses 2 tensioning carabiners rated at 500lbs each and the rope itself is rated at 500 as well. The rig has been tested with 250 lbs, and he is significantly lighter than that. Say 175. He is 6' and, taking into account the 5% or so stretch in the rope, this should leave him suspended at approximately 4' from the floor, weight forward at jaw level and slip knot directly at the back of his neck. He is also planning on taping a 2" small "cornhole" bag along either side of his neck as his carotid sinuses can be difficult to compress (he can thus far only achieve blurred vision using only his hand).
So the plan would be to pregame the Meto, Benzos, and Tagamet in accordance with Stan's guide, ingest 25g of SN dissolved in water (and possibly apply an additional 10-15 grams dissolved in DMSO along his inner thighs and armpits). Take a seat on the stool, secure the rope, and wait for the SN to render him unconscious.
Given the removed leg on the stool, he SHOULD fall forward (for reasons indicated above) thereby compressing his carotid arteries and jugular veins.
Does this seem like overkill (no pun intended)?
Any chance of 1 of the 2 methods employed interfering with the efficacy of the other method?
I want this story to be scientifically accurate, and I want to end the book right the first time.
Definitely do NOT want to have write a second draft.
