Mine is grilled cheese. I love it when the bread is crispy and the cheese is perfectly melted omg. So simple but so delicious. It has to be with mature cheddar cheese though.

Ooh I love blueberry muffins, way better than chocolate chipBlueberry muffins. There is a bakery near me and I get one almost every day even though I do not really need to eat it.![]()
Good luck with the diet! I've also been told in the past that I have IBS because they couldn't find anything else that was wrong. I never tried the low fodmap diet because it seemed so complicated. I cut out gluten for years and that seemed to help a bit. Eating carnivore was also a great help, but that's really extreme and not for everyone.I've been on a low fod map diet the past few weeks due to IBS and chronic gastritis/reflux. I've been loving steam vegetables (bok choy, carrots, green beans, spinach) with steamed tofu and ginger. I season it with miso sauce and nutritional yeast. It's super yummy and doesn't cause any abdominal pains, for which I am grateful.
My gastritis/reflux is almost entirely due to chronic stress stemming from chronic pain, which I am working on. You are right about the too little acid causing issues, but those are secondary to stress and my body being in perpetual fight or flight, so my digestive system is slowed and not working properly. For years I was so obsessed with eating healthy because I thought that would make a huge difference in how I felt mentally, and I also did it to lose weight. I focused on eating low carb to keto, avoiding gluten, doing some fasting, taking supplements. I even did the carnivore diet for half a year, which actually made me feel a lot better. But I must have been doing something wrong because my energy was pretty low. Then I went on vacation to Italy and I just let myself go, I couldn't resist all of the great foods there, pasta, pizza, gelatoAfter that it took me a while to get back on track, but I managed to start eating more healthy again, but not as strict as before.
Then a couple of weeks ago I started thinking about wanting to CTB and I decided to stop caring about what I ate. So now I mostly eat junk food because it doesn't matter anymore. I've been living with my parents for the past few months and my mom cooks healthy every day, it's mostly meat or fish with vegetables. I've been avoiding my parents these last weeks and so I also stopped eating together with them (which does make me feel bad, they did nothing wrong but I just want to be alone) and I regularly order takeaway like pizza, pasta, burgers, French fries and so on. Oh, and also desserts and cookies. I mostly enjoy what I'm eating but sometimes it's disappointing. Other than that, I also eat cereal, some fruit, and sometimes I eat some of the healthy leftovers from my parents, which I actually enjoy too. And some days I just don't eat at all.
But to answer your question lol, I don't really have an obsession with a specific food, it's just more the general category of junk food at the moment. Oh wait, I did have an amazing chocolate cake recently that was absolutely heavenly. I'll need to order that again, it might become my obsession

Now that I'm eating all of that junk food and gluten my gut is of course not happy, but I don't really care. It's not that I experience pain, mostly just bloating.
Your gastritis/reflux issues are probably because you're not making enough stomach acid. Just letting you know, in case you didn't already. Most people think it's because of too much stomach acid, but actually it's the opposite.
I'm so sorry to hear you're dealing with chronic pain. Chronic stress can do a lot of harm, sadly. My gastritis/reflux is almost entirely due to chronic stress stemming from chronic pain, which I am working on. You are right about the too little acid causing issues, but those are secondary to stress and my body being in perpetual fight or flight, so my digestive system is slowed and not working properly.
The difference the low fod map diet has made in 4ish weeks is astronomical, my reflux is almost completely gone, I'll still get an occasional stomach ache if I eat too much too quickly, but now they'll last an hour or two rather than the whole day. Additionally I have normal bowel movements. I am off all antacid medications, I'll occasionally take a carafate if I know I'll be eating a large meal, but I'm sure in another week or two I won't need to. Additionally I catastrophize way less regarding my abdominal pain, no longer stuck in the vortex of this lasting forever I'm doomed etc.
I highly recommend the low fod map diet, happy to send over what I eat in a day if you are interested.
Oh no...why is that? Is it an eating disorder thing, a money thing or just a lack of interest in food? If it's the last one then I found out that crackers are quite handy.Coffee with a side of nothing for me :/ Hardly been eating anything.
