My thoughts are that in today's world with sound bytes and searching for easy targets, it costs a legislator nothing to target a website forum with no financial or legal representation that "convinces children to commit suicide" with language that amends internet culpability with a clasuse that says (paraphrased)

"providers of internet media are not responsible for anything that others post except the following: discussions of suicide including methods or any views other than encouraging the use of federally subsidized suicide hotlines. If anyone posts anything other than a standard boiler plate of "suicide discussions should be left to professionals here is the hotline number" then they can be federally prosecuted"

That's the worst case scenario because legislators need stuff to do and they want it to affect the smallest number of people possible so that it doesn't create waves.

This would be an easy one to write a bill on whether it is constitutional or not.

I wouldn't worry about her since she has no following and is only doing this to cope with the tragic suicide of her son.

Their literal mantra to "Fix the 26" would have a major impact on the internet as a whole if it were to come to fruition. The 26 refers to Section 230 which is a thing in the US that basically makes it so that Internet domain hosts are not liable for the things they host. Now you can imagine that if this were to be repealed or altered, then free speech as a whole would be threatened on the internet since anything controversial would now be the host's responsibility meaning it would have to be banned. This would impact so much more than just SS. A lot of Western countries base their internet rules around ours so it could have an impact on the rest of the world's internet as well. FT26 basically wants to make the world more like China and they don't care because they're so blind to the fact that many of them (being total Karens and all) would also suffer in a world without section 230.

She is in Houston, Texas in the USA. The representatives and senators she speaks to are powerful people who are in a state where legislators are largely driven by small loud ideological groups. That's a generalization but Texas as a state has regularly tried to implement state constitution laws banning trans individuals from using bathrooms other than their birth gender and attempted to prevent school counselors from counseling LGBT students on any issues other than biblical teaching. She is in a place where the legislators are driven to make tiny decisions that impact disadvantaged populations based on popular conservative opinions.

Never dismiss a PTA mom with an agenda. They are dogmatic, driven and can be heard by bureaucrats and legislators.

Dox ,harass ,bully ,threaten (and more) "vulnerable" people .. they doxxed me bout 3 times and know my real name AND where i live just by looking at whatever i posted on fb groups and im unable to make the stuff private which is frustrating (!!!) Also got threatened jail time and authorities on me and i have confirmation from somebody that is true that they ACTUALLY called authorities on me like WTF are you kidding me !??? In any case - they (hopefully) wont do nothing to you... I had to remove 1 of their names ones cause they wrote my freakin name on Twitter so it pissed me the fuck off so i took their name off :(
