I ruined my life by not taking care of the person I loved. It was easy to loose sight of the present thinking about the future. Now I have neither.

Watching everything fall apart in a second... The plans we had, the spaces we shared, the things we'd do. From young and invicible to feeling like I aged 50 years and shattered. I'm still stuck in that moment.

For context, I was widowed. Very preventable accident. Cherish the people you have. Thats the most important thing in life. Not money, status, looks, or whatever. I had most of that (except the looks though my fiance would argue otherwise). All meaningless. I'd rather live in the mountains with her.

You just have to forget and give up your confidence and give up your self respect,, you juat have to fit there preferred stereotype, you just have to close yourself off from the world more then you already where, to stay inside to,, stay along the lit path,, and to keep keep keep on smiling.

All you have to do is give up what little of yourself you already dont have..

Hi I can provide the absolute best answer for this.

I went on a hike 2 weeks after a COVID infection.

That made me bedbound with extreme symptoms that now make every waking moment a scene from hell.

My health went from perfect to abysmal.

Life ruined with one 2 hour hike.

A childhood friend stayed with her abusive partner. She turned up with a broken ankle one day where he'd thrown her to the ground and, stamped on it. Naturally, everyone who cared about her was worried sick but, she wouldn't leave him. I dread to think what became of her. We lost touch. It wouldn't surprise me if he ended up killing her.

Nothing IRL, but I watch a lot of those police bodycam videos. The number of people who get pulled over for a simple ticket, argue with the cop, and end up with several felonies is staggering.

I don't know, I don't believe you can necessarily ruin your life, I believe your quality of living can be ruined by others and yourself but I don't believe in "winning" life for it to be able to get ruined in that way, since most people when talking about ruining your life are just talking about financial wise, etc.
