Title.

I'm planning on doing it at around 3am so there will be around a 2-3 hour window between when I take the sn and the earliest I'll be found.
Is this a good plan?

Depends on your living situation. The best time to CTB is the time that you'll be left alone the longest.

That said, SN usually works in under an hour, but I've seen cases where people took 8 hours to die. If you only have 2-3 hours, there's a chance you could be discovered and revived (with brain damage). If I were using SN, I'd wait until I had at least 8 hours of alone time, preferably 12.

But sn doesnt leave brain damage

I suggest you do it earlier - like 1 am or so. It is safer

How can you be hypoxic for hours on end and not die??
Enough to live, not enough to die. Review some of the survival threads and see how they have gone! Generally, no problems if the person gives themselves enough time... But plenty of time to be hypoxic and experience brain damage if rescued. By which I mean, the brain receives little enough oxygen to pass out, but enough to stay alive.
Google it if you're not convinced!

I'm not really into SN. The anxiety and pain and vomitting seem horrible to me and I also don't have 12 hours free time. I was just curious.

If I only had less than 12 hours (purely hypothetical, you understand), I would either use N, a gun, or hanging. Anything else leaves too much chance, and the authorities can/will get involved.

Yes that's why my preferred method is hanging as can't get guns or N in this country. It's times like this I wished I lived in the US.

What country do you live in? I know in the EU it's generally hard to get guns, but many countries like Germany and the Czech Republic have generous hunting programs. Take a hunting safety course and get your license if you're in one of those countries! You don't need an AR or a handgun... You just need a shotgun or a high-caliber rifle, both of which are deer hunting guns.

Nope not in EU either and my health is not good so I wouldn't be able to do that anyway. Might need to ctb soon and at home. Hanging and duct tape is best option.

if it could be finished off quick enough, I'd pick evening or nighttime. explanation is simple. daytime brain is more activity-driven. concerned with getting things done. tasks for survival. evening or nighttime is more associated with privacy. a time for oneself. like how quite a lot of people start ruminating before bed. never attempted during the day but I suppose SI may be easier to manage at night for this reason.

if you work night shifts I'd imagine it to be the reverse of what I said above.

a specific thing for me is I don't wanna disturb people with a hanging body/corpse when they can see me out of their window lol. been living with no curtains since I weighed down that motherfucking rod with an attempt on partial hanging. smh.

Evening seems right to me too. End of day and all. The final sleep.
I was told once that people who die in the hospital often die late at night- before dawn. If they're still alive at dawn they're apt to live another day.
