Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I taught myself to speak and read. As a toddler, I've been looking at grandma's numerous nursing books and haven't spoken a word till I was 4. Learning a language visually like that has had a few fun lifelong side effects, lol. I wrote my first short story when I was 5. At 6 I could read fluently, just a tad worse than an adult. I made my first grammar mistake in 6th grade, on a short story that moved my teacher to tears, lol. I'm often told I have a very "flowery" vocabulary. But on the flip side, I have situational mutism and have to rely on AAC quite frequently.
